Yahoo Group Instructions

To sign up for the WMWS Yahoo Group List Server (email list) AND get access to the
WMWS Yahoo Group Page
(If you do not already have a Yahoo ID)

STEP 1
Go to groups.yahoo.com/group/wmws OR
Go to www.yahoo.com
Click on "Groups"
Search for WMWS or Western Maryland Watercolor Society
Click on "WMWS" link

Step 2
Click on "Register". You will be asked for information to create your Yahoo ID account. Be sure to provide your
email address under "alternate email".
You will get a verification of your Yahoo ID and password

Step 3
Click on "Continue to Yahoo" to get back to the WMWS group page (groups.yahoo.com/group/wmws)
Notice that you are now signed into the Yahoo service which is indicated by "Welcome" and your Yahoo ID.
(You are not enrolled in the WMWS group yet.)

Step 4
Click on "Join this group" and enter your Yahoo ID and password.

Step 5
"Wait until you receive an email entitled "Yahoo Member Services - Registration Confirmation". Click on the link
"Click here to activate your account". This will bring you to the WMWS group join page (groups.yahoo.com/group/join)
Review your membership options and then click on "join".

Step 6
Since this is a moderated group (each member must be approved for membership, it is not open to the public)
you must wait for approval from the group moderator (Bobbi Dubins). You should receive an approval email in about 1 day.
If you do not receive this email within a few days email Bobbi directly at bdubins@allegany.edu.

Step 7
Go to the group page at groups.yahoo.com/group/wmws and click on "help" to learn more about how to use the
group features.

This will bring you to the WMWS group join page (groups.yahoo.com/group/join)
Review your membership options and then click on "join".

Step 5

(Only participate in the email list)
