In this
hands-on introduction to watercolor painting, students will be introduced to
basic techniques of watercolor. Designed for those who have no experience in
art or painting, the focus will be on getting comfortable with techniques and
learning to enjoy the process of painting. Painting has many personal
benefits, not the least of which is stress reduction and personal discovery.
Join us for a weekend of enjoyment, relaxation and self-discovery, as you
experiment in watercolor with other "first timers". The format of the class
also gives participants time to explore the many art and historical venues of
downtown Cumberland (see the
Allegany Arts Council web site for tourist activities scheduled for the
weekend). This workshop starts Friday evening with a reception to meet the instructor. Class runs 9am-4pm Saturday with a break for lunch. Sunday class begins at 10am-3pm. Registration fee is $130. |
